The annual Alresford Horticultural Society show took place on the 6th September as part of the Agricultural show. Although entries were down compared to previous years the show was enjoyed by many of the show visitors. It has been a particularly difficult year for all gardeners in the South. It has been exceptionally hot and dry. There were two especially amazing entries to the open vegetable class, three monster carrots and three parsnips grown by Neil Cairns. The club would like to thank the show committee and all the helpers on the day.
